busy day BIG news

It’s been a busy busy day… first off I had to deal with insurance and that was oh so fun but I did find out that the therapist office did not send all the info that they needed too… yea I chewed butt… but good news is MATTHEW STARTS FEEDING THERAPY!!! On April 28th!!!

Second is that we had his allergist appt today. She decided to just test food allergies today. For those of you who do not know Matthew had blood allergy test done in 2013. That test came back saying Matthew was allergic to;

1) Dairy

2) Peanuts

3) Sesame seeds

4) Wheat

5) Egg whites

They told us to worry if we seen reactions. Well anytime Matthew ate anything that had peanuts or may contain peanuts he would get a rash. So his doctor decided to give him an EpiPen Jr. for two years we have lived in fear of peanuts. A couple of months ago they did blood allergy testing again… this time it came back CLEAN NO ALLERGIES? What you say yea we were confused too. So his doctor decided that having full blown allergy testing was a good idea and we did as well……

Today they did the allergy testing. This is what it looked like to start off……

I know it looks scary but I promise its not….. Because 15 min later they came in to read the results and guess what… NO FOOD ALLERGIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! NONE!!!!!!!!! Let’s just say this mommy cried! Now the doctor did say that we should be slow to introduce peanuts just to play it safe but she really does think that he is not allergic. She said he may have had a minor allergy when he was younger but that since it didn’t react today that we should in the safe zone!!! I could not be happier

We will do the rest of the allergy testing next week. Because Matthew was diagnosed with a reactive airway we want to do this just in case he is allergic to any environmental factors. So we know what we need to watch!

Bradley has been such a great big brother. Making sure Matthew is comfortable. Always trying to get him to eat. He loves to sit with Matthew and watch cartoons! He is doing really well in school and is almost ready for Kindergarten next year! He is so excited for the summer to come and go camping and go to the splash pad!
